BuildLabs Organization ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Impulse Control mobile application (the "App").
Your privacy is extremely important to us. This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled when you use the App.
No Collection of Personal Data (Offline-First Design)
The App is designed to function entirely offline as an offline-first application.
- We do not require you to create an account, register, or sign in.
- We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information (such as your name, email address, phone number, location, or IP address) to external servers.
- No personal data or logs are ever transmitted over the network or stored in the cloud.
Local On-Device Storage
To support the core features, progress tracking, and gamification mechanics of the App, certain data is saved locally on your device's secure storage (react-native-mmkv / local cache):
- Impulse Tracker Logs: Records of intercepted urges, including timestamps, categories, and logs of successfully avoided or delayed impulses.
- Financial & Time Metrics: Calculations of your total saved funds and saved hours resulting from urge containment.
- Gamification Stats: Neural Coherence Rank, Prefrontal Efficiency metrics, User XP (Experience Points), Zen Coins balance, and streak history.
- Virtual Pet Data: Your digital pet's name, base stats, and equipped/purchased cosmetic items.
- Preferences & Settings: System preferences including Prefrontal Warning Audio (notification settings) and Tactile Haptic Sync (haptics configuration).
This information is strictly confidential, remains stored on your device, and is never shared with us or any third parties.
Third-Party Services
- Advertising & Analytics: We use Google AdMob to display non-intrusive advertisements to support the ongoing development of the App. Google AdMob may process non-personally identifiable technical identifiers (such as the mobile advertising identifier GAID/IDFA and diagnostic metrics) in accordance with Google's Advertising Privacy & Terms. The App does not integrate any third-party behavioral analytics tracking SDKs.
- Links to Other Sites: The App may contain links to external sites (such as open-source documentation or developer portals). If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
Data Security
Because all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data depends entirely on the physical and digital security of your device. We recommend protecting your device with a secure PIN, password, or biometric authentication to prevent unauthorized access.
Children's Privacy
Our App does not collect or solicit personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, the App complies with COPPA and GDPR regulations regarding children's privacy.
Managing and Deleting Your Data
You have complete control over the data stored on your device:
- In-App Reset: You can delete all your logs, streak data, pet status, and coins permanently at any time by going to the Operator Profile screen and selecting RESET ALL SYSTEM REGISTERS.
- App Uninstallation: Uninstalling the App from your device will permanently erase all local databases, caches, and storage files.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted by updating this document and revising the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
