Welcome to MyDigest. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a safe and transparent experience.

2. Information We Collect

MyDigest is designed to provide you with personalized information while respecting your privacy. We collect the following types of information:

Location Data: To provide accurate local weather updates, we request access to your device's location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION, ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION). This data is processed locally and sent to weather service providers to fetch current forecasts for your area.
Media and Files: To allow you to personalize your profile avatar, we use the device's image library selector. We do not upload your personal photos to our servers; the selected image is stored locally on your device.
General Usage Data: We may collect non-personal information about how you interact with the App (e.g., app launches, feature usage) to improve the user experience.
Advertising Identifiers: We and our third-party advertising partners may collect unique advertising identifiers (such as IDFA for iOS or GAID for Android) to deliver personalized advertisements and measure ad performance.

3. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party APIs to provide its core features. These services have their own privacy policies:

Weather Data: Provided by Open-Meteo.
Market Data: Provided by CoinGecko and ExchangeRate-API.
News Data: Fetched from public RSS feeds of various news publishers (e.g., BBC, Lenta.ru, TechCrunch) and public APIs (such as Reddit). We do not send your personal data to these publishers.

4. Data Storage

Most of the data you provide (such as your chosen user name and profile avatar) is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain a central database of user profiles.

5. Permissions

The App requests the following permissions only when necessary:

Location: For local weather forecasting.
Internet: To fetch real-time news, market rates, and weather data.
Vibration: For haptic feedback during interactions.

6. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

8. Advertising Choices & Opt-Out

You can opt-out of interest-based advertising or reset your advertising identifier through your device settings:

Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization (or Delete advertising ID).
iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
